Marcelo Paiva at the Future Minerals Forum in Riyadh: The Role of Mining in Sustainable Development

Updated: Feb 12

Riyadh - Our managing partner, Marcelo Paiva, was invited to take part in a prominent panel at the Future Minerals Forum, where he contributed to the debate “Minerals-led Development: Reality or Myth? ”, alongside global industry leaders such as Mark Cutifani (Chairman, Vale Base Metals), Mark Bristow (CEO, Barrick Gold Corporation), Moath Al. Rawi (CEO, ARGAS), Florence Drummond (Executive Director, Development Partner Institute) and John Morrison (CEO, Institute for Human Rights & Business (IHRB)). The session was masterfully moderated by David Eades, an expert on climate issues.

Marcelo highlighted how the shared prosperity mentality and the integration of mining and industrial processing, exemplified by the work of Sigma Lithium Corp. (Nasdaq: SGML) in one of Brazil's most deprived regions, have significantly transformed the future of communities in the Jequitinhonha Valley.

Participation in the Future Minerals Forum reinforces our commitment to promoting initiatives that integrate solid results with significant social and environmental benefits, contributing to the construction of a more balanced and sustainable future.
